Locale Lovelies: Everywhere!

I'm deep in the midst of preparing next week's wonderful North Carolina feature {two welcome baskets from special guests, plus free printables!}. So for this week {and possibly others when I can't quite pull together a full Locale Lovelies feature!}, I'd like to share an artistic series that could serve many a welcome basket very well.Jennifer Hill has created an incredible body of work called "Places I Have Never Been," in which she designs art prints based upon her daydreams about new and foreign cities.
Above is a detail of Jennifer's Colorado pattern, as well as the print pictured in the various sizes she offers {starting at $1.50 for a notecard}. As you can see {and as I've included above the image}, on each print Jennifer includes tidbits of information about the place including the city/area and country name; the language spoken there; how many miles one might travel to get there; and a few words about the influence of the place on the pattern she has designed.
Jennifer recently began to offer personalization of her prints with couples' names and dates {pictured above}, which I absolutely love. This is a perfect wedding gift! Or, it could serve as a unique guest book: simply place a wide mat around the print for guests to sign.

Jennifer's prints are inspired by Fairbanks {Alaska}; Austin {Texas}; Block Island {Rhode Island}; Chicago {Illinois}; Breckinridge {Colorado}; Pittsburgh {Pennsylvania}; Death Valley {California}; Fakahatchee {Florida}; Kilauea {Hawaii}; Portland {Oregon}; Prairie City {Iowa}; Savannah {Georgia}; Sun Valley {Idaho}; Traverse City {Michigan}; Albuquerque {New Mexico}; and Wellfleet {Massachusetts}, as well as several international cities.

You can shop for cards or prints easily by location. Don't see your locale listed yet? Follow Jennifer's creative process on her blog to see what places are in the works!
