Something New: Jessica Rust Designs

Today's unique registry service offes charming tableware handpainted in an 1884 Minneapolis carriage house with perfectly modern customer service: you can register for Jessica Rust's one-of-a-kind plates, mugs and platters all online!

The Vintage Lovebug {Dessert Set} above includes four dessert plates and four mugs for $135. That price for fine porcelain at a department store would be difficult to find, assuming you are looking for something that's actually cute or stylish!

While the price is nice, my favorite part is that you can personalize your little lovebug sign to read whatever you'd like: your names, "Just Married," the date, anything at all. Customization is a theme carried throughout Jessica's work, as you can see below:

Above, clockwise: {1} Insert your name on a banner carried by two tiny birds in the {Lovebird Collection}. {2} If you look closely at the {Plate}, you can see a couples' names and the year of their wedding intertwined with the telephone pole wire the birds are perched upon! Too cute. {3} The $120 Family Tree Collection {Platter} is a heartfelt gift for new parents, in-laws or wedded couples.

And lastly, if you're an old soul with a love for Delft porcelain but want something a bit more original, Jessica's {Birch Collection} in blue is a perfect choice {right}.

I wish the Web site offered more photos of the wonderful detailing on these pieces, but I think you can get the general idea: adorableness that you can register for!

And in case you've missed previous editions of Something New, enjoy a look at our features on these wonderfully unique registry services: Emilia Ceramics, Eden Home Organics, Bailey Doesn't Bark, Amenity Home, VivaTerra, ZGallerie, Velocity, and Rose & Radish.
